In 1994, Dr./Eld. Ravon Rainey started an advanced Bible training program for the Young People’s Department at Christ Temple Church. The vision was to begin training our young people who believe they have a calling to the ministry. This training was to educate and equip them to effectively and systematically minister the Word of God.
From the beginning, Pastor Mark Tolbert saw the need for such a program to be offered to the entire body of Christ. The name was changed from “Young Ministers Training” to “Ministers Training”. In 1997, the school was certified as a Bible Institute through Aenon Bible College, Indianapolis, Indiana. In 2009 VLBI became an extension school of Faith Bible College. In 2015, the school partnered with Victorious Life Bible Institute of Theology, Inc., a registered non-profit corporation in the state of Missouri.
Today, Victorious Life Bible Institute of Theology, Inc. offers coursework in Ministerial Preparation, Evangelical Training Association teacher training, Aenon Bible College Certification and Degree courses, and Faith Bible College Degree courses. VLBIT’s open door policy has made it possible for Bible students from all denominations to enhance their learning and to develop their ministerial skills. VLBIT has expanded to 17 locations from Detroit Michigan to Denver Colorado.
